One of the questions I occasionally get asked is what editing style I use and why my photos look the way they do. The answer is simple: I am a true-to-tone photographer because I want your images to feel timeless, authentic, and true to life. When you look back at your family photos years from now, I want you to remember the moment exactly as it felt. I want your children's skin tones to look natural, the grass to look like grass, and the sunset to reflect the beautiful colors that were actually there. Photography trends change constantly. Certain editing styles become popular for a few years and then quickly fade away. While there is nothing wrong with artistic expression, my goal has always been to create images that won't feel dated when you pull them out decades from now.
A true-to-tone editing style focuses on preserving natural color while enhancing the beauty already present in the image. I make adjustments to lighting, contrast, and color, but I don't heavily alter reality. The result is a gallery that feels warm, natural, and timeless. Natural skin tones are especially important to me. Every family deserves photographs that accurately reflect who they are. By keeping colors true and balanced, your images feel more genuine and personal.
